Collection: Where fairy tale lives

Through a unique collaboration, photographer Bjørnsen and artist Tahle invite the public into the mountain’s inner life — a realm where hidden folk, trolls, water spirits, and Norse mythology coexist alongside ptarmigan, animal tracks, and silent alpine lakes.

The works are rooted in photographs from Norwegian mountain landscapes, including Hallingskarvet, captured across all seasons. Upon and within these terrains, the illustrations have emerged — not as decoration, but as an extension of nature itself. The result is a series of images in which the boundary between documentation and storytelling dissolves.
